But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,

whose confidence is in him.

They will be like a tree planted by the water

that sends out its roots by the stream.

It does not fear when heat comes;

its leaves are always green.

It has no worries in a year of drought

and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7 &8

I was out walking today.
Everything is still dry and brown and sleeping.
But it's warm.
And it's about to rain.
And it will stay warm.

Everything will wake up.
And bud, and sprout, and be green.
Until the next cycle.

If you and I stay by that Stream...

Reaching out with roots...
And the roots holding us firm...

Heat will come.
So will the cold.
But our confidence is the Creator of the seasons.
Steadfast and faithful.
Always.
