Exodus 29,30,31 & 32
I feel like God is inviting Israel to set traditions and
ritual and ceremony so they will remember.
Inviting.
Setting and reminding and reinstituting Sabbath.
Setting the stage for sin offerings so they have
atonement and forgiveness and cleansing.
Consecrated.
God living in their midst.
And He is inviting them, like He invites us.
I feel like it is easy to write a lot of words about the
wonder of this thing and not get to the bottom of it.
God is so clear about His intentions that He wants to
meet and live among His People.
God’s relationship with His People for His Glory.
Glory to shine as a testimony about who He is.
That this God
Is God Almighty and not just a household name.
That life with God is something that the world should
notice.
So there are days when my wonder and marvel at this is
renewed.
That God came down here to walk with us.
In our Egypts and in our deserts and in our milk and
honey and plenty.
That He came down to walk with us in Jesus.
And how that changed everything.
How the temple curtain in Jerusalem was torn in two
And instead of people going to the temple to meet with
God
He flowed out and took the world by storm through the
Holy Spirit.
Sending the Holy Spirit to be our counselor and our
guide.
Into human hearts.
His Presence
In us
invitational
Infusing everything
Filling ordinary things and moments
With sacredness and Glory.
But not that we are in it, but because He is.
Our offerings
Fragrant
the aroma of Christ to God
In a world that is perishing.
Some days I forget
Just how amazing it all is,
That in spite of all my stiff necked-ness,
my name is that Book of Life (Ch 32:32)
