Leviticus 23 to 25

Over and Over.

Repetition.

There are Sabbaths and commemorative feasts so the Israel will remember who they are, where they came from, who led them out, and who sustains them.

All this time eating manna.

With a pillar of cloud in their view during the day

and pillar of fire at night.

To remind them they are a redeemed people.

To remember that God is a jealous God.

That He invites them into covenant relationship.

No longer slaves, but free from bondage.

God put so many measure into place

that would create a mindful way of life. 

A pattern.

A rhythm.

God was preparing Israel

for a life off the beaten path.

For Promised Land living.

Where the people would tend sheep and cattle.

Milk.

And tend the land

Grow crops that would blossom and flower.

Honey.

A rhythm. 

Sabbath rhythm.

That ancient Creation pattern.
